Catering for disadvantaged children in our midst and assisting them to achieve their full God-given potential.
Bringing Hope to our disadvantaged children
BACKGROUND _ WHY The prevalence of HIV Aids in Cameroon as in other sub-saharan countries is on the increase. The number of deaths as a result of the pandemic is rising. The need to care for those children who have become victims of this pandemic is also growing.
Alongside the infected, the ‘affected’ also need support.
Because of the stigma still attached to the disease, children become victimised and suffer not just the loss of their parents, but also rejection by society.
WHO WILL BENEFIT and WHERE Those children below the age of 18 who have become orphaned through the loss of their parents or principal carers to HIV / AIDS. Orphans are located within orphanages or other social support structures across the country. For this year we are focusing on La Maison Du Soleil in Sa’a, in the Centre Region of Cameroon, and Hotpec Orphanage in Buea in the South West Region of Cameroon. We aim to extend to the North, Western, and North West Regions.
WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO DATE? We sponsored four children in the first year, and ten children in the second year.
WHAT NEXT? We aim to expand the programme to include more children over the next two years. H.E. Ambassador Roger Milla, H.E. The High Commissioner Mr Nkwelle Ekaney and Mrs Ekaney and other international Cameroonian celebrities have agreed to give their full support for the programme. We would be grateful if you do the same. You will be lending your support to a worthwhile cause. Your Donation by way of a Lump Sum, or a regular monthly payment will go a long way to; · Create an enabling environment and provide welfare support for children who have become orphaned by the loss of their parents to HIV / AIDS · Catering for the disadvantaged children in our midst and assisting them to achieve their full God-given potential. · Bringing Hope to our disadvantaged children
